Help us Nail it AGAIN!!!

After 2 years, LCBT are trying to be record breakers… again. Yes, you heard right we are going to attempt to break another world record!

Back in May 2010 LCBT set the Guinness World Record for the most amount of nail file and varnishes in 8 hours, at an incredible 1897! All students and staff took part in what turned out be an epic day which was incredible fun! Then in September 2011 we received the devastating news that an organisation in Australia had broken our record . After spending a few months taking this news in, we decided enough was enough; it was time for LCBT to bring back the World Record to the UK! And this time it will be even bigger and better: LCBT are this time aiming for a massive 3000 volunteers to get their nails filed and varnished!!!

Thursday 10th May 2012, (almost 2 years to the day) will see LCBT attempt to reclaim the title of World Record holders for the most amount of file and varnishes in 8 hours!

Time: 11am – 7pm
Where: London College of Beauty Therapy, 47 Great Marlborough Street, London, W1F 7JP

This year we are attempting the record in aid of two charities, Rays of Sunshine (a wish granting charity for young people with serious or life-threatening illnesses) and The Eve Appeal (which helps the fight against gynaecological cancers). We will shine a spotlight on both charities and the work that they do in future blog posts!

We can’t wait for to have the title back in the UK at LCBT where it belongs, but we need your help!!

Keep up to date with everything to do with LCBT’s World Record Attempt by signing up to the Facebook Event here; it will be updated regularly with details of sponsors, competitions, raffle prizes and all the preparations!
